EXPERIENCED DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS

Trilogy Disability Foundation is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to assist and help make a difference in the lives of our female & male youth participants and community in the Gosford area.

About Us:

Trilogy Disability Services is a boutique provider based on the beautiful Central Coast specialising in SIL homes, children and adult respite care.

We are seeking applicants with an in-depth understanding of behavioural support plans, restrictive practices and medication. Experience in working with non-verbal, Level 3 autism participants will also be highly regarded.

We have shifts available over a 24/7 roster and are looking for staff who are available to work shifts including morning, afternoon, evening, nights, weekends and public holidays, and are happy to discuss your availabilities with you.

The Role:

You will be supporting mainly young people with challenging behaviours and various disabilities to implement their support plans and provide quality care.

Your duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assistance with daily living
• Personal care
• Manual handling (hoist transfers)
• Meal preparation
• Domestic support
• Community access
• Medication administration
• Support with assistive technology
• Bowel and continence support
  
  

Minimum Essential Criteria:

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Mental Health, Disability, or similar discipline
• Current Working With Children Check (for paid employment)
• NDIS Worker Check Clearance
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current NSW Driver’s Licence
• National Criminal History Check (issued within the last 6 months)
• You must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated; an Australian citizen or have a demonstrated right to live and work permanently in Australia

Desirable Criteria:

• Youth/Mental Health First Aid
• PART/MAPA training
• Experience working with people with Mental health or behavioural concerns
• Manual handling experience
• Experience with personal care
• Administration of medication training

Other applicable qualifications may be:

• Home and Community Care
• Individual Support
• Assistant in Nursing (AIN)
